Wilton Cottage is a thoroughly classic Cotswold Cottage. It is situated in a beautiful spot overlooking the River Coln, on a quiet lane within the classic hamlet of Ablington. The cottage has an open fire, mullion windows and many traditional features, creating a cosy and homely appeal. Equally, the open plan ground floor adds to the atmosphere. The garden to side and rear is lovely (*below) but of particular appeal is a little bench at the front of the house, perched towards the river and perfect for a quiet moment. A lovely cottage, in an 'unrivalled' position.ACCOMMODATION Entrance to the cottage is up three steps through a small porch, into the main living space.Living Room with two large sofas, open fire place, large flatscreen TV with FreeSat HD Plus box (allows pause rewind!), separate DVD player, iPod docking station.Dining Area with dining table, six chairs leading to kitchen.Kitchen, compact galley style, well equipped with electric hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge (no freezer compartment, but available in the garage if required please note) washing machine and microwave.Wooden Conservatory Room with chairs and furniture, space for hanging coats and doors to garden..Upstairs (please note that there is no rail)Bedroom One with super king size bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers with super views to the front of the property.Bedroom Two with two single beds, hooks for hanging, chest of drawers and window overlooking cottages and villageBedroom Three with double bed, hanging space, chest of drawers and window looking towards the garden at the rearBathroom, with roll top bath, handheld shower, WC, washbasin and bidet.OutsideThe property has a gravelled garden area to the front and side, with a variety of plants in the borders and 'box knot' garden. To the rear is a terraced garden planted with a wide variety of flowering plants, which at the top overlooks fields to the rear and owing to its elevated location also looks over the top of the house. The rear element to the garden is accessed via steep Cotswold steps and please note that there is no rail going up these steps. There is a seating and outside eating area with table and chairs which enjoys the sunshine all day, as well as a wooden climbing frame. There is a garage for storing bikes etc. Friday Changeover please. Sorry No Pets. Children Welcome, but No Cot or High Chair available. Please discuss with Manor Cottages any questions regarding the nearby river and garden.Heating and Electricty included all year. Starter basket of logs supplied, extra available at cost.
