Baltinglass boasts a golf club and playground and is within an hour of Dublin city, easy driving distance (28 miles) to the Wicklow coast and just 25 minutes to Carlow Town with cinema and shopping. Horseriding, fishing are popular in this area. A trip to Glendalough, (21.5 Miles) is a must with 31m (100ft) high round tower, several stone churches and decorated crosses with its visitors centre at the gateway to Glendalough Valley and Wicklow Mountains National Park.
