Framlingham is a small market town that is rich in history and heritage. There is a 12th Century curtain-walled castle where Mary Tudor was proclaimed Queen, and historic Saint Michael's church. Framlingham College is an imposing mock-gothic building overlooking the Mere, a lake which is a haven for wildlife. Aldeburgh, on the Suffolk Heritage Coast, is just fifteen miles away, and other places to visit include the beautiful villages of Constable Country, Minsmere bird reserve and Snape Maltings. There are a number of cycle routes and way marked walks in the area and there is a good range of shops and places to eat in the town. College Mews is a lovely three story town house set in the historic market town of Framlingham. Nicely furnished and well appointed, College Mews is the ideal place to base yourselves to explore all the delights Suffolk has to offer.
