On the outskirts of popular Appledore you will be a 15 minute stroll to the quayside which is steeped in nautical history. Enjoy fishing trips numerous pubs restaurants galleries and the Maritime Museum within the village or take a boat ride across to Instow with its sand dunes and beach. Westward Ho! is a popular seaside resort less than a mile away and has 2 miles of long sandy beach perfect for surfers and sandcastle builders. It also gives you access to the National Trust cliff-tops for walkers in addition to having a championship golf course. The market town of Bideford is a 10 minute drive and offers high street shops pannier and open-air market and is home to the Oldenburg for day trips to Lundy Island which is a Landmark Trust Island and world famous for its wildlife. Venture further afield to see the many delights North Devon has to offer with a range of popular attractions which include The Big Sheep Tapeley Park Arlington Court The Milky Way Clovelly with its steep cobbled streets and more.
