The market town of Helmsley offers an array of boutique shops restaurants bars and cafes. Ideally situated for a day in York yet within an hour of the coastal towns of Scarborough Whitby and Filey. The surrounding area offers a wealth of attractions including market towns at Kirkbymoorside and Malton stately homes of Castle Howard and Nunnington Hall abbey ruins at Rievaulx and family fun at Flamingo Land. The dramatic scenery of the North Yorkshire Moors can be enjoyed aboard the famous steam train which runs from Pickering (13 miles) to the ancient fishing port of Whitby. Outside: communal area for al fresco dining with BBQs and picnic tables. Amenities: ample parking. The accommodation is a beautifully restored barn offering TWO bedrooms: 1 double with en-suite shower room and WC 1 twin zip-and-link with en-suite bath and WC. Lounge: TV DVD and video. Kitchen/diner: well-equipped with gas hob and electric oven fridge with icebox dishwasher washer/dryer and microwave. Outside: large patio doors opens onto enclosed private sun-trap patio area with seating and BBQ. Additional info: Valley View - Drey can be adjoined with Valley View - Holt to sleep 10.
