An absolute gem! Time seems to have stood still at this truly delightful 500 year old thatched cottage one of the most photographed in Cornwall. Featuring an ancient inglenook fireplace with an old cloam oven timber panelled walls and original beams among its many charms and all complemented with pretty period pieces and interesting artefacts Old Dolphin Cottage is one of a pair nestling in pretty gardens just 50 yards from the shingle cove. Cadgwith itself is a place for relaxing - a thriving fishing community and one of the county's most picturesque villages its whitewashed cottages dot the valley slopes fishing boats are drawn up on the beach cream teas and great seafood are available and the locals regularly gather in the pub for an evening of traditional song. Scenic coastal walks lead to sandy beaches and Lizard Point and a myriad attractions lie within easy reach. Shop 50 yards pub 150 yards.
