This fascinating Grade II* listed house of immense historical interest was built around 1530 and boasts the original Tudor turning staircase. Opposite the church and in the heart of the Citadel, the holiday cottage is heavily beamed throughout with a bread oven in the laundry room. An ideal base for exploring the cobbled streets of Rye. Visit the traditional market on Thursday and Farmers’ Market on Wednesday. Swim at Camber Sands or Winchelsea Beach, stroll across the marshes and visit the ruins of Camber Castle or take a ride on the steam train to Bodiam Castle. Shop 150 yards.

Living room with wooden floor. Kitchen/dining area with ornamental fireplace and Belfast sink. Utility with bread oven. Shower room with toilet. Steep turning stairs to first floor: Double bedroom with 5ft bed (zip & link, can be 2ft 6in twin) and ornamental fireplace. Double bedroom. Bathroom with shower attachment and toilet. Some low ceilings. Beamed throughout.
