Standing peacefully in an elevated garden with superb open sea views, this pretty 14th-century split-level cottage (nearest on the left in photograph) has been imaginatively renovated. Set at the end of a row, it is just a short walk from the village with its captivating harbour and ancient cottages clinging to the hillside above fast-flowing water. Thomas Hardy met his wife here whilst restoring the church of St Juliot. Mystical Tintagel Castle 4 miles. Excellent swimming and surfing beach at Crackington Haven (5 miles). Bodmin Moor 18 miles. Bude 15 miles. Riding locally. Shop ¼ mile, pub 25 yards.

Beamed, open-plan living/dining room with wood-burning stove. Steps up to small fitted kitchen area with door to garden. Mezzanine floor with bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet. First floor: Two bedrooms; one double and one twin.
