In the heart of the old town, Adventure Cottage has three floors and has antique furnishings adding to its character. One of a row, it is ideal for a holiday at any time of year, just a short stroll from the promenade, 3-mile stretch of sandy beach and colourful harbour, overlooked by Abbey ruins. The smugglers coves of Robin Hoods Bay, Runswick Bay and Staithes are a short drive with Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington a little further. Golf ¾ mile. Grosmont steam railway 7 miles. Shops 50 yards.

Spacious living room with electric ‘wood burner’. Spacious dining room with French doors. Both beamed and with wooden floor. Well-equipped kitchen with tiled floor. Separate toilet. First floor: Two twin bedrooms, one with en-suite shower room and toilet. Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet. Second floor: Double bedroom with antique four-poster bed and en-suite shower room and toilet. All bedrooms with TV/DVD.

"Cottage well fitted out - although a little cluttered - excellent position for area and all amenities- good to have parking - dustbin collection needs to be adhered to as per instructions - overall we had a great time. May 2011."
