Overlooking Whitby’s picturesque marina, beneath the magnificent abbey ruins, this modern, cottage-style holiday property stands on the site of the old boat yard on the banks of the River Esk. The middle one of a row of three, it is light, spacious and finished to a high standard, making a comfortable base just 500 yards from the town centre. Whitby, famed for its Captain Cook connections, offers miles of sandy beaches, fishing trips from the harbour and many specialist shops and character inns along its cobbled streets. Inland lies the North York Moors National Park with superb walking. Cliff-top golf course 2 miles. Scarborough 20 miles. York 46 miles. Shop 1/4 mile, pub 20 yards.
