Not too late for a September/October cottage break in Sussex

It’s a glorious day on the Sussex coast… blue skies, the sun is out and there is not the slightest whiff of a breeze.  A perfect Autumn day in fact, for enjoying all that Sussex has to offer on a Sussex cottage break.

Where to go in Sussex?

West Sussex cottage breaksIf you want to wander on the beach, with an ice cream maybe, then Brighton, Bognor Regis and Eastbourne are popular seaside destinations with plenty to see and do on a short break. They have everything you need from seaside piers, amusements, ice cream and lots more entertainment for the whole family.

If you are more interested in the countryside then the South Downs National Park is a must, stretching right across Sussex it provides spectacular views and great countryside walks.

For those that like their castles and cathedrals, then they don’t come much more spectacular looking than those at Arundel. Or how about the historic city of Chichester, with its towering cathedral at its very heart of.

East Sussex cottage breaksFor shopping and culture it simply has to be cosmopolitan Brighton.  From the quirky and wonderful Laines to indoor shopping centre with all the top high street names, all your shopping needs are covered. With theatre, music and comedy venues throughout Brighton & Hove you will not be short of entertainment either.

While there is plenty of self catering availability in the cities and major towns such as Brighton and Eastbourne, we highly recommend staying outside of these major centres so that you can enjoy rural Sussex.

Many towns just outside of these big centres offer great value, have great transport links and some wonderful places to stay such as Lewes, Storrington, Poynings and Fishbourne to name just a few!
