Peacefully set in picturesque Baldersdale, this former chapel has been restored and equipped to the E.T.C. ‘4 Star’ standard, retaining its arched windows and exuding charm and character. With stunning views over open moorland, it enjoys its own furnished patio and forms a cosy holiday retreat year round. Excellent walking within this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with the Pennine Way winding close by. Hannah Hauxwell’s isolated farmhouse (featured on TV’s Season of My Life) lies nearby. Historic Barnard Castle (6 miles) boasts an array of shops, inns, restaurants, a splendid Norman castle, several antique dealers and the famous Bowes museum, where exhibitions change regularly. The Metro Centre, Beamish and Lake District are but an hour away. The interesting village of Leyburn can be visited as well as The Forbidden Corner near Middleham. Fishing and riding locally. Includes 2–course Sunday lunch (for two) at a country pub. Shop 2 miles.
