Set in the heart of the Kentish countryside, overlooking the parish church and rolling fields, stands this attractive oak barn with a light and airy sunroom with tiled floor and underfloor heating. Formerly a cart lodge, it is attractively furnished with many original features, exposed beams and a superb galleried sitting area overlooking the living room. Set in the grounds of the owner’s 15th-century hall house, visitors can enjoy use of extensive gardens (except the owner’s private garden). Midway between Canterbury, with its magnificent cathedral and Dover with its fascinating castle (both 8 miles), this is an ideal holiday base. Folkestone 12 miles. Shops 1½ miles, village pub ½ mile.

Entrance hall. Spacious living/dining room with rugs on terracotta-tiled floor and fitted kitchen area. Two double bedrooms; each with TV, one with en-suite bathroom and toilet and one with en-suite shower room and toilet. Three steps down to newly renovated garden room (formerly cart lodge) with tiled floor, views of grounds. Separate toilet. Wide oak stairs to mezzanine floor: Gallery with TV overlooking living room with sofa-bed (alternative sleeping).
