Amidst the lovely wooded country estate of Ogbeare Hall, this converted 18th-century coach house provides a very comfortable and spacious holiday cottage catering for larger groups of friends and family. Adjoining the owners’ home, it enjoys its own sunny courtyard and a large secluded garden with hot tub. It makes the ideal, peaceful setting in which to relax and unwind with lovely country walks from the doorstep - yet it is within easy reach of Devon and Cornwall’s stunning north coast which is steeped in history and legend.
The glorious sandy Blue Flag beach of Widemouth Bay is close by. Renowned for its excellent surfing, it also has pretty coves and rockpools to explore. Dotted along the coast, discover charming fishing villages and harbours including mystical Tintagel with the legendary King Arthur’s Castle, Padstow with its famous seafood restaurant and ‘picture postcard’ Clovelly. This is a truly fascinating and scenic coastline.
Whether surfing, walking, playing golf, fishing or simply relaxing, this stunning location has something for everyone. The popular resort of Bude lies just 10 miles away and has an excellent range of shops and restaurants along with a golf course, tennis, riding, indoor ‘Splash’ pool and three lovely sandy beaches. Historic Launceston, the ancient capital of Cornwall, is just 9 miles with its castle ruin, steam railway, market town shops, restaurants and supermarket.
Sailing and other watersports, lovely lakeside walks and picnic areas can be enjoyed at Tamar and Roadford Lakes, both within 10 miles. Nearby, explore the wild beauty of Exmoor, Bodmin and Dartmoor National Parks - a must for nature lovers and walkers. For family fun, The Big Sheep and The Milky Way adventure parks are close by and Rosemoor RHS Gardens, Dartington Crystal Factory and the famous Eden Project are all within easy reach.
