This lovely, attached , stone built barn conversion is so well placed for discovering this relatively undiscovered part of the world which is really a Scotland in miniature! The only change in some parts is the tarmaced roads. There are mountains and lochs, over 200 miles of dramatic coastline, the UKs largest forest park, mountain biking at its best and mile after mile of footpaths where you can get away from the stresses of life and all this wrapped up in a temperate climate! Newton Stewart is the gateway to the Galloway Hills which are every bit as challenging as those further north but they are devoid of people. The Rhins of Kells is a superb ridge walk to be saved for a clear, sunny day. The area offers a choice of venue for the world renowned 7Stanes mountain biking experience and each location offers a different challenge and a different stone reflecting the environment.
