Built in 1846, the cottage has been tastefully renovated and the rooms are well-appointed and finished to a very high standard. There is an elevated sun deck to the rear, accessed by steps and a small patio area off the kitchen with patio furniture and barbecue. The property may suit some visitors with limited mobility. Local pursuits include fishing, sailing, cycling, pony trekking, golf and hill-walking - the Southern Upland Way starts nearby. The village has a general store and local pub.
