Glenhurst is an impressive detached Victorian house nestled in mature and private gardens, and has been designed around families and fun, boasting a large indoor pool and external play area. An ideal place for a great holiday getaway for groups and families. The gardens are private and adorned with numerous fruit trees as well as having a huge water feature which is child friendly as the water is hidden. Enjoying great views, idyllic walks and yet located on the edge of the village of Southowram which is situated in the Pennines. An ideal base for visits to both Bronte Country and the Peak District National Park. Situated in the lovely Calderdale Valley with the old market town of Elland only 4 miles away, and Sowerby Bridge 6 miles with restaurants cafes and shops. Within an easy drive north is Haworth, the jewel in the crown of the Worth Valley, and also the heart of Brontë Country, where the Brontë family once lived. Located on the edge of the Pennine Moors, this atmospheric and picturesque village is steeped in history; walk the cobbled streets and visit the museum and then one of the many tea rooms for homemade cake. Travel south and visit Holmfirth, the setting for long running TV series Last of the Summer Wine. There is also easy access to both Leeds and Manchester for city entertainment. Shop and pub 300 yards.
