Near Offa’s Dyke, in a wonderful rural location for exploring mid Wales and Shropshire, this peaceful and secluded period cottage nestles in 11/2 acres at the head of its own small wooded valley, bordered by a shallow stream. Thoughtfully restored, it stands detached and enjoys a southerly aspect in a natural setting. An idyllic retreat, close to the charming, historic town of Montgomery, with its castle ruins, timeless ambience and a small selection of pubs and restaurants. Shop 2 miles.

Spacious living room with wood-burning stove, new oak floor, beamed ceiling and French doors to garden. Beamed kitchen/dining room with wood-burning stove. Utility. Separate toilet. First floor: Two double bedrooms (one beamed, with balcony). Beamed twin bedroom. Single bedroom. Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet. Shower room toilet.
