Sitting in a beautifully tranquil sheltered spot in the wooded Ochil Hills high above Glenfarg valley, this wonderfully imaginative barn conversion offers a peaceful retreat yet is within 10 miles of Perth. The property retains its original exterior, it is particularly well specified with quality fittings and furnishings and features a spacious and bright open plan living space. The extensive grounds (including woods, lawned area, deck and garden furniture), have lovely views and are home to a host of birds and wildlife. There are several walks through ancient and coniferous woodland from the doorstep. The property is accessed off the main road by one mile of un-surfaced track that is a little steep in places, but still suitable for a normal saloon or estate car. Heavily laden vehicles are unlikely to make it up the hill, eg 4-6 adults, their luggage and shopping in a people carrier! Large parties are advise to bring 2 vehicles. While the property has a lovely 'away from it all' feeling of isolation, it is ideally placed for touring and is within an hour's drive of Edinburgh, St Andrews and Stirling. There are shops 3 miles away in Bridge of Earn and a pub/hotel with great food and real ales in nearby Abernethy. Ground Floor: 2 double bedrooms with whb (cot available), 1 twin bedroom with door to grounds, bathroom with bath and shower unit. First Floor: Open plan living/dining/kitchen. All electric with underfloor and central heating. Fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, freeview television, DVD, CD player. Bed linen and towels provided.
